12:00 PM ET 07.28 | Tracy McGrady made a somewhat surprising return to the NBA last season. The San Antonio Spurs waived Stephen Jackson and decided to bring in McGrady as a temporary replacement for the postseason. Many T-Mac fans hoped that McGrady could become an NBA champion with the team, even if it was only riding the bench, but the Spurs came up short. Unsurprisingly, T-Mac's NBA career could very well be over, so he is considering going back to China.

Troll comments above aside... Sounds like a good plan for T-Mac.Marbury is thriving in China, and T-Mac should do so as well.As for the Spurs... I'm a fan of their disciplined, methodical approach to the game as long as Duncan is with the team, but they really took it too far this past Spring with waiving Stephen Jackson. It cost them the title. With Ginobili struggling, Jackson could have provided that extra push to get them over the edge. It's the price they paid for being too rigid with their discipline.

I have to agree, waiving Jax was a stupid move so close to the playoffs. If you want to win, they as experienced as the Spurs are, they should know how to deal with all kinds of personalities, including some really idiotic ones like Jax. I'm not sure if Jax could have won them the ring, but he couldn't have done any worse than Manu. I'm super shocked they are bringing back Manu for 2 more years, he was worse than Bonner for crying out loud!

As far as Tmac, good for him if he can get some games. But really no comparisons to Suckberry, TMac has no legs. He can never play at that level anymore.

I remember watching those final games and T-Mac couldn't even make 1 shot. Time to hang it up is an understatement!

Cutting Jackson did NOT cost the Spurs a title.

LeBron cost the Spurs a title.
