07:20 AM ET 07.29 | This week, Jake Peavy is traveling a little heavier than usual. A clubhouse attendant walked into the Chicago White Sox's locker room with five packed suitcases and [Peavy] in tow. The veteran pitcher is preparing for what seems to be inevitable, a trade that would end his four-year tenure with the team. "It is sad to think that this is probably my last day in here," Peavy said on Sunday morning. "We all realize the reality of the situation and I am prepared with that to happen soon." A number of teams, including the Boston Red Sox, St. Louis Cardinals, Atlanta Braves and Los Angeles Dodgers, have been following the White Sox for the last two weeks. Negotiations have intensified since the Braves lost ace starter Tim Hudson earlier in the week.

You can take STL off the list since on Tuesday they are calling up left handed pitcher Tyler Lyons from Triple A Memphis.

A lot more cheaper, younger, and injury free pitcher is Bud Norris of the Astros.

Those bags are going to get heavy because the Sox are asking more than he's worth.

Whoever lands Peavy had better is taking a chance the guy has been very brittle and has spent a good share of his career on DL
