07:10 AM ET 07.29 | Coming out of the weekend, Michael Vick and Nick Foles weren't giving Eagles fans much faith in either to win the quarterback job in Philly. [None] of the Eagles' quarterbacks looked particularly sharp on Sunday. Per usual, Vick and Foles split reps with the first and second teams. ... By CSNPhilly.com's unofficial tally, Vick completed nine of his 14 passes. Foles, meanwhile, went nine for 16. Both quarterbacks had one pass dropped by different receivers that should have been caught. Neither, however, did much to impress. The two best passes of the day were thrown by rookie fourth-round pick Matt Barkley and Dennis Dixon. Barkley took 15 snaps, all with the third team. ... [Barkley] unleashed a beautiful ball down the right sideline, depositing it over the right shoulder of receiver Greg Salas.

QB's looking sub par, Mac out for season, McNabb coming back to retire.

Philly fan will be in his element.

They lost Maclin yesterday..... This will force MeSean Jackson into being the #1 WR and we all know how that is going to work.

Philly 4-12. Johnny Football on line one.

Vick and Foles both suck their way out, enter Dennis Dixon, and the fans go wild!!!

Vick, Foles underwhelming?????? I'm shocked!

And this is without pass rushers trying to plant them in the turf.

July 29, 2013  09:05 AM ET

I know the feeling, I too am underwhelmed by anything reported as good or bad the first week of camp.

July 29, 2013  09:39 AM ET

Nobody saw this coming!

If Coach Kelly is smart he starts Barkley from day 1.

Michael Vick? Is there anybody out there who still has faith in this guy? He should look to the CFL. His style of play is perfect for that league.

Really whoever isn't hurting now will be ready come Sept. Even broken bones are healed in six weeks....or so:)

It might give him a longer expiration on his Week 1 starter, but it might also mess up his development

July 29, 2013  11:06 AM ET

Too bad.

July 29, 2013  11:17 AM ET

SO I'm confused. Just who are they supposed to be passing to? I thought both top receivers were out with big time injuries so that doesn't exactly leave them a lot of quality guys around the ball right now.

OBD, I see you worrying over there, wondering how Romo will keep Phili in the game....
