07:19 AM ET 07.30 | Louisville junior quarterback Teddy Bridgewater comes from a place of perspective. [Bridgewater] said Monday that he has taken a $10 million insurance policy to protect himself against a career-ending injury. Bridgewater is projected by many to be a top-five pick in next year's NFL draft. Last season, he attempted to play through several injuries, including to his ankle and thumb. Bridgewater said he has a high tolerance for pain that came from watching his mother battle and overcome cancer. ... Bridgewater said he has seen former Auburn running back Michael Dyer on campus and that the Cardinals would "take him in and welcome him" if he were to join the team this season. Dyer, who was on the Tigers' 2010 national championship team, was kicked out of Auburn, as well as Arkansas State.

Yep.

The real question is not whether TB would take him, it's whether Charlie Strong would take him.

I think I've heard Strong quoted as he's ready if he can get in the academic side

So Bridgewater has a high tolerance for pain and could deal with Dyer. I C

Cross Charlie Strong, and not even a pitch perfect rendition of MJ's 'Bad' is gonna earn you any leniency. If Charlie gives Dyer a chance, and Dyer blows it, not even Dyer's momma will offer Dyer any words of comfort. Anybody who will even acknowledge his presence will slap him upside the head.

I honestly hope Dyer has his life turned around and makes the most out of whatever becomes of his third chance. Fitz Hill is a solid man a great mentor...if Michael took advantage of having him take an interest in his life, he's got a shot.

Good luck, young man

Grantland had a good story about Dyer. Hope he doesn't screw this up.

Nah, my red-head has a few more miles on her.

Being an Arky alum, I've been called red-headed stepchild to the SEC forever so I just adopted the red head avi....for some reason, I like this one and have kept her a while.

I know you're a fan of her's Tinny....most common sense displayed to date from a guy that jumps out of perfectly good airplanes, AND calls it a sport! :-)

I suppose if she were waiting in the drop zone, that would qualify as a good reason to jump.
