07:19 AM ET 07.30 | Lane Kiffin finally has a dream come true at Southern Cal. The public might be allowed to attend a few training camp practices but [Kiffin] said today practices would be closed to the media and public in the regular season. USC officials were unsure if the public might get a couple viewing days during the season but it did not sound like Kiffin wants too many people at practices. The decision to ban the media only affects those who agreed to attend and not report about injuries last season. They will no longer be allowed under any circumstances. Kiffin's wanted to close practices since 2010 and it seems the pressure surrounding the program allowed him to finally get his wish.

Won't make any difference; team is too thin at too many positions to have a good season.

First BCS component comes out Thursday, Coaches poll. This usually sets the stage with very few changes, except for losses to non-sec teams.

NCG = tOSU versus the SEC champ.

Make your reservations now.

Doesn't want the team to notice the dwindling number of media and fans.
File this under, who gives a ****.

Layla's trophy husband has his dream job. Now, he gets to run the program as he's always dreamed.

From the DFW Vype HS sports source:

Former Trinity football star and Texas A&M redshirt defensive lineman Polo Manukainiu was killed in a car accident Monday. FOX4 News in Dallas reports the crash occurred north of Albuquerque, NM.
Media outlets are also reporting former Trinity player Gaius Vaenuku was killed in the accident. Vaenuku was Manukainiu???s cousin and a Utah signee who committed last January.
The Sporting News and FOX4 News are reporting Trinity player Lolo Uhatafe was also killed.
A fourth individual, Salesi Uhatafe, an incoming freshman offensive guard at Utah, is reportedly in critical condition.
Manukainiu mentioned beginning a long drive from Utah to Texas in his Twitter timeline Monday afternoon.
Texas A&M has scheduled a Tuesday morning press conference at the Texas High School Coaches Association convention in Fort Worth.
Manukainiu committed to Texas A&M in January 2012 after receiving offers from schools such as Oklahoma and Utah.

UCLA.

Coach Kiffin is on the hot seat. At Notre Dame is a definite loss for USC this season. Stanford and UCLA could go either way.
At Arizona st at Oregon st and at CAL are not sure wins. Then there's the annual SC loss to a PAC-12 bottom feeder surprize. Arizona perhaps.

By by coach Kiffin, its been nice. Give Daddy a call.

Don't be so sure. That schedule is very favorable for a 10 + win season.
