10:43 AM ET 07.30 | Unfortunately, the LPGA is just starting to make a little noise in the U.S. this year, but lacks the popular American star that could drive it to the levels it needs to be. Inbee Park is a wonderful golfer, but casual golf fans are wrapped up in the start of football season and the preparations for the PGA Championship next week. With a win at St. Andrews for the Ricoh Women's British Open, Park would become the first golfer this year to win four majors.

It's really too bad more people (men, mostly...) don't pay more attention to the LPGA tour. There are some fine golfers out there. Personally, I enjoy watching the women play almost as much as I enjoy watching the men.

I like watching the LPGA on TV, and if a tournament were ever in the vicinity of my hometown I'd probably attend.

I have and it was well worth it. You are also easily able to follow the groups you want as the galleries are smaller.

Because of this I became a big fan of a certain Norwegian golfer...

I already have my tickets for the Solheim Cup in August here in Denver. And I went to the Women's US Open a couple years back at the Broadmoor.

We paid 155 pounds each, about $220. It's prime season plus it was right before the tournament.

I agree on your point about the fine golfers but not so much on the enjoy watching. There just aren't any real strong personalities on the LPGA. Nobody with bizarre technique, rage issues, dominant length, etc. I think that hurts the tour. I watched it a bit when Christina Kim was contending but I don't see that kind of player out there right now.
