Bochy won't commit to Zito

07:19 AM ET 07.31 | Talk about your tale of two seasons. It was just a year ago that the Giants went 11-0 in Barry Zito's last 11 regular-season starts -- then won behind him three more times in the postseason, including a World Series opener for the history books. It seems impossible for the Giants to win behind Zito now, especially on the road. They fell to 0-9 in his starts away from AT&T Park after a 7-3 loss to the Philadelphia Phillies Tuesday night. Zito's next start would end this road trip, Sunday against the Tampa Bay Rays at Tropicana Field. Giants manager Bruce Bochy was non-committal on whether his $126 million left-hander, finally coming to the end of his seven-year contract, would make it. "We'll talk about it," the manager said. "I'm not going to say anything right now."

Unless the Giants have a couple of starters coming off of DL. their rotation was a little thin. with giants in last place it seems there are some other issues with pitching. Bochy seems to be blaming Zito for giants Record.

You always hear about teams going from worst to first. Giants may be a team that goes from first to worst. The entire pitching staff with the exception of the back end of their bull pen has been very hittable. bochy can't blame it all on Zito.

His moniker suits him to a tee. When you look up stupidmoron, there's a picture of him dwelling in his natural environment, his mother's basement.

That was easily the best game of his career.

And here I thought Oakland and San Francisco were one City, just like Los Angles and San Diego!!! futty dutty!!!

July 31, 2013  11:55 AM ET

Oakland and San Francisco are closer than San Francisco and San Jose which the Giants claim as their territory.

It's a bogus argument by the Giants considering Oakland and San Fran are virtually equidistant from San Jose.

Poor Bochy... Sabean should be on the hot seat due to Zito as well as the giveaway of Wheeler...

The Giants are going to have to overhaul their organization next season. This season is all washed up.

They need to fire Dwayne Kuiper, what a broadcasting dud, he is almost as bad as Joe Buck

The Giants need a new batting coach. Time to do the obvious thing and hire Barry Bonds as the hitting coach.

The pitching staff has been a major disappointment.

The press sure treats Matt Cain with kid gloves, and he is the biggest disappointment in 2013, it never fails new contract = diminished play. Or is it; Win World Series= diminished play.

I think it is crazy to even think about trading Lincecum or Pence.

Like any FRANCHISE, when you buy into an area you claim certain areas as yours exclusively to market in. MLB designated that area as part of the Giants domain.
