07:13 AM ET 08.01 | The Knicks' continued search for a third point guard has led them in the direction of veteran free-agent Beno Udrih, who has played for four franchises since 2004 and finished up 2012-13 in Orlando. According to league sources, the Knicks have an outside chance of landing Udrih, 31, because they can only offer a veteran's minimum contract worth around $1.2 million for next season. ... [Udrih] made around $7.4 million last season, the final season of a five-year contract worth $32.3 million that he received in 2008 from Sacramento. Udrih averaged eight points and almost five assists per game in 22 minutes an outing last season as a reserve for the Bucks and Magic. The Knicks have been looking for a backup for Raymond Felton and Pablo Prigioni.

The minutes will be there for him and what better place to showcase his talents for next year's free agency class... he'll get better deals elsewhere but long term Knicks may be the best place for him so I hope it works out for both parties.

The other thing is there's lot's of players out there that can be third string point guards so it don't matter how long Knicks string it out.

Some players and agents will get desperate as the deadline approaches so it's best to stay cool and wait. I like how our GM has conducted business this summer. Getting World Peace may be the best thing that happened to Knicks since Oakley. Now if we get a decent third stringer we'll be stringing teams out like Delonte pulling a G string on Lebron's couch.

Let's go Knicks!

I am still pulling hard for our Knicks, but I am just setting my expectations low in an attempt to stave off disappointment.

I've noticed a trend....
Tony Parker's last two backups are not that good.
George Hill & Udrih...not that good!

LOL! Any confidence at all in this group could actually be setting your expectations too high.

Why have the Bricks suddenly become a resting place for players on their way home, or rejects from everywhere.
