11:56 AM ET 08.01 | Earlier this morning we passed along the report that San Francisco 49ers linebacker Patrick Willis suffered an injury to his right hand during the team's training camp practice on Wednesday and, while it seemed minor at first, the team believes there may be some structural damage. Willis will undergo an X-ray on the hand at some point on Thursday and the team fears Willis could have a "slight fracture." A slight fracture may not seem like a major concern until you consider the linebacker's history, which includes two previous fractures to his right hand and a fracture to a finger on his right hand during his college career. Hopefully the injury won't lead to more problems.

When I see one guy just keep coming up with the same injury, even if it's relatively common for the position he plays, I can't help but wonder what he's doing wrong.

Hmmm, if he doesn't stop what he is doing, the old wive's tale suggests he's going to go blind.

He's faking it so he doesn't have to play the Seahawks.

He was practicing today with the cast on. A slight fracture, it will be healed by the start of the season.

That's the kind of intensity that earns a man a good living.

Wont slow him down, unfortunately.

Culliver is out for the season too. They are dropping like flies out west.

Damn shame too....Maybe Namdi will step up.

He probably wraps up the runner/receiver/QB with his right hand and it gets hit by his teammates helmets. He'll be fine by season. He's not catching any passes anyway.

He already has , his best days at practice were 30,31, 01, They said on the 31, 01 he clearly showed that he was the best.

They will probably call Eric Wright and see if he can pass the physical now.

He must have tackled Hackeem Nicks and caught something, two very fragile people or 2 people who play too hard? Same difference?

SF and Washington are both losing players at an alarming rate. May need a supplemental draft to reconstitute the teams for September.

Strap a cast on and get ready for some football.

He has played with a cast 3 times back to his days at Ole Miss. Six time Pro Bowler.
