07:08 AM ET 08.02 | Hakeem Nicks had a different kind of ride Thursday in practice. [Nicks] began practice on the exercise bike, pedaling and catching footballs. But he never made it to the field for an individual drill or team rep. Weather forced the Giants indoors and out of full pads, and apparently forced Nicks out of practice altogether. "It's a day to day type thing," [Tom Coughlin] said. ... After two straight days of being vocal about Nicks' absence, Coughlin said he needs to curb his expectations a little. With an eye on the big picture, he knows that losing Nicks for an extended period of time is far worse. "Certainly I want to see him on the field, and he wants to be on the field," Coughlin said. "It's frustrating, but I've got to learn to control myself when it comes to that as well."

"[Nicks] began practice on the exercise bike, pedaling and catching footballs." Sounds like a skill for one of those funky game shows. "And then Nicks ran through a slip and slide loaded with chocolate sauce!"

I'd like to see a TLC-type wife swap show with Coughlin and Ryan swapping jobs for a week.

Nicks looks exactly like Joe Fragile, he too knew how to run once he got on the field, getting on the field was his problem!!!!

Hicks and Gmen are going to be just fine, thank you. We have discovered since Jerry Rice retired that receivers are a commodity. What you need for your team to hit the heights is an Eli, an Aaron, a Brady or a Brees.

Coach T is the man. Now don't go all wobbly on us now though, we like the old style.
