07:17 AM ET 08.02 | At long last, former No. 1 overall pick Greg Oden may make his future plans known. [Oden] plans to choose his new team Friday, according to sources close to the situation. Sources told ESPN.com that Oden, after showing off his skills for several teams over the past few weeks, has not yet ruled out any of the six teams chasing him but is most likely to select his destination from the trio of Miami, San Antonio and Dallas. New Orleans, Sacramento and Atlanta are the other known suitors for Oden. One source close to the process said Thursday night that the Pelicans are the only team from that group still "in the mix." Every team from the final six but Dallas sent a representative to Indianapolis last week to watch Oden work out.

<YAWN> For a player with really no shelf life left, too much has been written and speculated about where he will go. Who cares where he goes to wave a towel, as long as it's not Dallas!

He's taking his skills to Miami. Not one injury, not two, not three, not four.....

6 teams isn't a trio.

I would love to hear Riley Cooper make the comment about whipping every N at a Chesney concert around his friends, say it in his locker room or against the 49ers, Ravens, Lions, or Bears defenses on the field. He can talk that smack at a red-neck concert but say it to the N's on the field tough guy. If he doesn't get suspended by Goodell his career may very well get ended on the field.

You are probably right...

That being said, his "decision" is going to come down to part money and part team.

My bet is that all of the teams being mentioned are offering similar deals, otherwise, Miami would have signed Camby.

I think the guy will help any team he plays for, assuming he stays injury free.

Goodell should not suspend him for making a stupid comment.

If that were the case, 100's of NFL players would be suspend every season.

Defensive players all around the league will be taking it out on him every time he touches the ball...that will be a far greater punishment than the NFL could ever levy.
