07:09 AM ET 08.02 | A day after Riley Cooper changed his own perception, heat on the wide receiver intensified. [Eagles coach Chip Kelly] acknowledged that there is concern that it could divide the locker room. "I think it's going to take some time," Kelly said. "The guys that know Riley and are a little bit closer to him, it may be a little easier to them. But also some guys that just met him or just got here, and they're still trying to wrap their arms around it. I don't think this is a situation that's going to go away tomorrow. We certainly understand it." Kelly had his position coaches discuss the incident with players in meetings. He said the team needs to set up meetings between Cooper and players who don't know him so they get to know Cooper better. "We have to have some open communication."

No better place than the City of Brotherly Love for him to be at right now. Better wear his helmet 24/7 though.

I heard Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and Jay-Z will be marching down Lincoln Financial Field wearing a black hoodie soon.

Would love to see the same outcry if an athlete says "****, Cracker, Spics, etc...."

Dan Snyder didn't have to apologize for his team name.

He never did. It's not anything new. Been the name of the team for 8 decades. Long before the pc jerks took over. Nothing to apologize for. Hail to the Redskins!

True and the "N" word has been around for centuries now and has been said casually overtime by different races.

As for the Redskins, I bleed black and purple but love what the Skins are doing now. HTTR indeed!

In today's instant information society it's doubtful that Cooper will survive this. He'd do better to quit football and start working at whatever he had planned for after football.

Cosmo Kramer never made it back and Cooper won't either.

This goes to show you if you are a public figure, don't go getting drunk in a public place enabling your idiocy to be spouted to the world through video media!

There's nothing casual about the usage of the word.
