08:05 AM ET 08.03 | MLB has informed A-Rod and his fellow players linked to Biogenesis they have until 6 p.m. Eastern Time tomorrow to agree to suspensions, with the announcements coming Monday. The other players involved all might accept punishments in the 50-games range, whereas A-Rod hasn't been amenable to a banishment through next season -- which is why commissioner Bud Selig has been at least contemplating a lifetime ban. He also is considering suspending Rodriguez via the Basic Agreement's "best interests of the game" clause (for allegedly obstructing MLB's investigation) as opposed to the Joint Drug Agreement (for purchasing illegal performance-enhancing drugs.

Don't know whether that was before or after he homered in a rehab game.

You have to admire his staunch resolve to remain defiant and completely detached from reality. It will be interesting to see how long he can keep it up

I just don't ever want to see this fraud become a sympathetic figure.

Ok Boys Smoke this!!!!

The Commissioner Wanted PEDS, The Owners Wanted PEDS, and the Players are the scape Goats, the owners are now Billionaires because of the likes of Clemons, McGuire, Sosa and Bonds, they Packed The Stadiums filled the Air Ways (megaTV Deals) sucked our money out of our hands, cashed in on the profits, gave us lousy Teams and HAD THE BALLLS, YES THE BALLS to go after these idiot players who will probably all die before their Time!! Bud Light and his Committee Of CROOKS, will go down in the court room, Arod will prove a Conspiracy between MLB and The Yankees, when the dust settles and The Rooster Crows Arod will make more money then he's currently due! The Yankees want to collect the insurance money and Arod is standing in their way, by saying he can still play, when he is suspended he will take his act to Japan and they will love him, he will go after Bud Light and Yankees and win!!! They will prove that MLB turned a blind Eye and acted in the best interest of Baseball, Arod would go to Congress but they will only say BASEBALL IS A SPORT AND NOT A BUSINESS, by the way, Kiss that Baby Good Bye!!!

The Game and all it's records was killed not by the players but by the greed of the owners and Commissioner. Their the ones that turned Baseball into the Circus that it is today. Arod Cheated, thats a fact and any pure Baseball fan doesn't like him or his records for that reason, but to believe the Commissioner and Owners knew nothing and didn't play a MAJOR ROLE in the continuation of PED USE is extremley hard to believe.

MLB has been looking into Bosh's Com[pany for over a year and knew he was handing out PEDS Not just Professional Players but College and even High School Students, they stood by and did nothing, they made no attempt to have the Feds come in to bust the guy, because their intendition all along was to give this guy 500K to buy his TAINTED RECORDS, rather than have the FEDS have them from scratch. Bud Light and The Owners are in bed with a guy who is the Scum of the Earth and he is their Cheif Witness.

Had Bud Light taken a stand and said 20 Years ago any player caught on Drugs will be Suspended and his

Team will be fined $10 Million Dollars the Drug use would have ended. The Owners and The Commissioner didn't care about us fans our beautiful game, they didn't hear our plea's to put an end to Death of Drugs which was killing our beloved Pastime, No The Were deafend by Jingle of The Register and The Roar of The Crowd!!!!!

Sounds typical of how any business would run things in all facets of life. You look the other way when things are running smoothly and thank the stars when they are. You can always flip the script later when it becomes advantageous to do so. That's why it pays to be the boss nut-butter

The owners would have fired him immediately. Bud was just doing what the owners told him to do.

IMO- it was the players union who should take the most blamebud wanted PEDs testing sooner, but the union refused

If the owners would have backed him, he would have gotten quicker testing. The owners were getting filthy rich, and didn't want steroids to be banned. Not yet anyway.
