08:59 AM ET 08.04 | A city man killed in a moped crash on Central Street early Saturday is an uncle of former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez, a law enforcement source with knowledge of the case told The Courant. Shortly after 1 a.m., emergency personnel responded to the intersection of Central Street and Church Avenue for a crash involving a moped. Upon arrival, firefighters began treating the driver, Robert J. Valentine, 49, for a life-threatening head injury, police said. Valentine was the brother of Terri Hernandez, Aaron Hernandez's mother, the source said.

The media is what you turn to when you realize you've grown up without any particular job skills.

Sorry for his loss. A 49 year old on a Moped. At least out here in AZ they have the decency to buy a full dressed Harley and roaring go off and forgetting how to stop the bike.

Are we sure Aaron didn't shoot out the tires?

Totally agree! It is almost like reading a cartoon strip now. Brief description and then tweets with weird pictures posted in corner with some sort of comment by the character in the corner. I miss real journalism.
