Boos raining down on Sanchez

07:08 AM ET 08.05 | Already Gang Green's fans are anxious -- and a little cranky in Cortland. An otherwise sleepy crowd at SUNY Cortland awoke, briefly, to rain boos on Mark Sanchez, a sound that does not bode well for the quarterback's future with the Jets. On the first play of a drive in the team's intrasquad Green & White scrimmage Saturday evening, Sanchez had just thrown an interception to Antonio Cromartie on a deep ball intended for Vidal Hazelton. Though he made the pick, Cromartie was none too pleased by the crowd's reaction. "I think that's bullcrap," Cromartie said. "My thing is, if you're going to be a fan, be a fan. You don't come out here and boo anybody." Sanchez was much less agitated, perhaps having gotten used to being the target of such venom. "Oh, shoot, I don't care," he said. "That's the way it goes."

The only way Sanchez gets over the boos is to come out and play like an MVP, which I do not see happening. I think he lets the pressure get to him, which will not be reducing, especially after drafting Smith. If the Jets were smart they would have tried to get something for him, or released him to allow him to start fresh somewhere else.

I'm sure he snuggled with Daddy afterwards.

...wow, I feel dirty now.

Oh man..it's gonna get seriously ugly for them. Can't wait!!!

Nothing will be right with the Jets until Buddy Ryan's' demon spawn is run out of town.

Maybe if you did care you wouldn't play like crap!

Actually - they were booing Cromartie.

August 5, 2013  08:10 AM ET

How dare the fans expect more from their Franchise QB !

It can't much lower for Sanchez than being booed at training camp.

It can't *get* much lower for Sanchez than being booed at training camp.

Sort of reminds me of the early days of Alex Smith. Booed constantly for problems that were not totally all his . Maybe they need to run Ryan out of town before they make the determination on Sanchez.

Ryan, Sanchez both need to go. Then they need to start over. Nothing to save there.

So athletes want blind support from fans? Sounds like a whiny Millennial.
