Heat looking at Telfair, among others

07:11 AM ET 08.05 | Coming off another title run, the Heat are still on the lookout for adding productive NBA players. They're looking at Mo Williams and Sebastian Telfair among others. I think they're just keeping their options open. Williams is the better player and he's almost certainly their first choice, but he has received interest from several other contenders as well and he would likely cost the taxpayer mid-level exception. If they miss on Williams, that's likely when they'd turn to Telfair and try to bring him in on a deal worth the veteran's minimum.

They need a 2 or a 3. They've got too many PGs already...

What happened to this guy? Supposed to be the best Guard out of New York since Stephon Marbury, according to his ESPN special a few years back.

Worst options to look at since Bibby!
Chalmers and Cole are fine at point guards so why is Telfair or Mo needed?
They are both scrubs!
It's not like they can provide some super leadership like a vet Billups, like Kidd did or Baron Davis did.
They suck and can't defend there own shadow!
Heat need a young wing that can shoot and will defend rookies Ennis & DJ Kennedy are better options as well as DeShawn Stevenson....
Come on Riley this off season you have been 3 for 3 Resigning Allen,Birdman and signing Oden, please don't make a mistake and sign a goof!

Now Stevenson is a great option for a cheap price. The guy plays D and can hit 3 pointers. His attitude is a good attitude to have on a championship team.

Indy needs a PG, why aren't they looking at Mo? He ain't great but who else is out there and available?

Indy dropped the ball indeed.
They should have found a way to get Calderon...
They ranked a worst assit/turnover ratio last season.
George Hill isn't a true point guard at all and it appears they are gonna stand pat.
No wonder Hibbert can't average 16+ points, no point guard!
Turnovers are what cost the pacers in the ECF more than anything.
In the off season they are 3/4 resigning West, getting better bench players like Copeland,CJ Watson and trading for Scola but still no true point guard!

After the heat are done dominating I'd like to see these teams win championships:
Pacers(PG24 aka Paul George has won me over, I respect him)
clippers
raptors
blazers
OKC

Rumor is Baron Davis is trying to latch onto a team this year as he's almost done rehabbing.

He was......he just didn't develope beyond high school.

Ever see guys excell in college bust went bust in the NBA?

Well, Telfair didn't even play college ball; he jumped straight to the NBA.....and he wasn't ready!

Problem is.....NBA teams don't do a hell of a lot to develope point guards; they spend their $$$$ developing bigs, and then, only to a point.

Telfair pretty much stopped getting better as a high schooler; he just ain't much better now than he was 9 years ago....
