07:25 AM ET 08.05 | Yet again, Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel finds himself on the wrong side of the headlines. The NCAA is investigating whether [Manziel] was paid for signing hundreds of autographs on photos and sports memorabilia in January, "Outside the Lines" has learned. Two sources tell "Outside the Lines" that the Texas A&M quarterback agreed to sign memorabilia in exchange for a five-figure flat fee during his trip to Miami for the Discover BCS National Championship. Both sources said they witnessed the signing, though neither saw the actual exchange of money. Three sources said Manziel signed photographs, footballs, mini football helmets and other items at the request of an autograph broker named Drew Tieman.

He's too damn busy blaming everyone else for his son's poor decision making skills.

I certainly hope that the NCAA doesn't drop the hammer (if ever) until after the A&M-Bama game.

OTOH, this Bama fan doesn't mind any and all self-inflicted distractions young Manziel brings upon himself.

I agree.

If he did take $$ for autographs, that'd be about as stoopid as you could imagine. It just makes no sense, so if I had to guess, I'd say the charge is bogus, but stranger things have happend for sure.

Y'all non SEC schools must not be able to read then.
