Rondo's future depends on Stevens chemistry

07:12 AM ET 08.06 | From Rajon Rondo's perspective, the Pistons' roster would seem to offer him quite a bit, from Josh Smith to Greg Monroe and Greg Drummond. As [Rondo] continues to rehab from a partially torn anterior cruciate ligament injury he suffered in late January, trade speculation involving the All-Star point guard will continue to have a life -- possibly up to the trade deadline next year. The Celtics are rebuilding after the departures of Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Jason Terry. ... Rondo's future in Boston depends on his health and relationship with rookie coach Brad Stevens. The former Butler coach hoped to build a bond with Rondo to keep his interest in the organization. However, there will be many suitors for Rondo, who averaged 13.7 points, 11.1 assists and 1.8 steals, if he wants out.

I think that is complete hooeyIf rondo is cool with rebuilding- he will be happyif he is not- he will mope his way outI personally think rondo will take this opportunity for it to be 'his' team and run with it. (assuming he can run)cause if he could somehow get this club to be .500+ and even chase a 7,6 seed??? wow that would almost validate him, IMO, cause I know I personally have said, he couldn't carry a club without top players

I agree with you on him not being able to carry a club and this is a chance for him to prove it. Time to prove your elite Mr. Rondo

That's a bit unfair. Rondo carried the team when KG was hurt, PP was struggling or Ray wasn't making shots etc. Even with limited offensive skills, he carried them several times. Yes I would like him to be more mature but it's rather unfair on Rondo while someone like CP3 or DWill who really have done diddlysquat to be getting props time and again.

Unless he somehow becomes a distraction, Ainge is out of his mind to even consider trading Rondo. Without Rondo this team becomes the Bobcats.

Exactly which begs the question. What in the hell is actually going on with Rondo. I'm baffled with all the trading Rondo chatter so it has to be about his attitude and how he carries himself with the staff and players. Inquiring minds want to know.

Yeah, I agree with you. CP3 really gets a lot of credit for "carrying a team" and he has never once made it past the second round of the playoffs. At least D Will has made it to a Conference Finals before. CP3 gets way too much credit while Rondo never gets enough. He and his teammates may not always get along in the locker room, but on the court, I'm sure they wouldn't have rathered have anyone else lead them into battle.

I think there is no comparison between Rondo and CP3 carrying their team in the playoffs. CP3 had less to work with while Rondo had 3 HOF to be players. Rondo helped the Celtics in reaching the finals but he didn't carry them...

And posters make it sound like KG, Pierce, and Allen were scrubs and didn't do much to help them make it to the Finals...
