01:26 PM ET 08.06 | The Atlanta Falcons have given Tony Gonzalez the Brett Favre training camp schedule. At 37 years old, and entering his 17th NFL season, his body probably doesn't want to be subjected to the early training camp rigors. Gonzalez is always in peak physical condition so his conditioning isn't a worry or issue. Gonzalez hasn't missed a game since 2006.

The way he played last year, he's got at least two years left in the tank. I'd love to see him get a ring but I detest Atlanta and Matty Ice melts in January.

Hasn't missed a game going on 7 years. Impressive.

I'm ambivalent about the Falcons, but +1 on Gonzales getting a ring, or at least a trip to play in the Super Bowl.

Yes indeed but i'm doubtful he gets the chance with Matty Spice leading the charge

I saw another thread where they mentioned a hilarious sign at a Dallas game.

Q: How do you spell Tony Romo in Spanish?

A: Mark Sanchez

And I still think Romo has a shot. Heck, I'd take him over Ponder (Romo, not Sanchez)

He's earned that privilege. Would love to see him get ring, class act. He'll surely retire a Chief.

Ohh, wait, is Chief offensive now?

Could be. The Vikings have offended my Scandinavian roots a time or two.

That is friggin funny and I agree Romo over Ponder so at least one could experience the emotions of hope and utter disappointment haha

I went to HS and drop out of a college with Native American mascots. Nobody every griped. In fact, the mascot were designed by the area Native American artists. Still, the HS league and NCAA forced the schools to change. Pathetic. Next thing you know PETA will go after the Dolphins for sucking so much.

Give him all the time he needs off. This guy is crucial to a Falcon's SB run. He's a BEAST

Let the healing begin.

You see his salary this year on a 1 year contract?

Atlanta can't afford to have him play 2 years...

The only $14M tight end in history.
