Jennings ready to quit taking bad shots

07:15 AM ET 08.07 | On Tuesday, the Pistons introduced point guard Brandon Jennings, who proclaimed landing with the Pistons as a "new beginning." "I have that chip on my shoulder," Jennings said. "This year you'll see a whole different player. Vets in the locker room, all these guys played at a high level. I can be myself and who I was, five years ago, at AAU." In his prep days, he was known more for passing than scoring. But since then, Jennings has earned a reputation as a shot-chucker rather than a playmaker, and he knows that won't fly here. "I definitely have to change my game, for my teammates and myself to be successful," Jennings said. "We have a great frontcourt and some great vets. The things I was doing in Milwaukee, I don't have to do here, taking all those bad shots, I don't have to do here."

Yuup! He is a good PG. His ppg and apg proved that he is good. Just don't take the chucking into consideration...

He's 23 and has realized he was being too much of a pig. That is a good thing. We'll see though if he can reign it in or if its just talk.

He is too immature. He blames the world too much. At least he knows the problem now. Let's see if be follows through. 4 years wasted to figure out that he wasn't a good PG.

we shall see- but for his production, he is on a manageable 3 year contractI personally don't like the way this squad was put together, especially their front court, but what is good is they have room to improve.Jennings could maturetheir rook SG could be a good playerdrummond could get bettereven monroe has room to improve.

You forgot Smith (who also wants shots and plays called for). Between him and Jennings, the rookie SG isn't gonna get any shots.
Smith clutters the post in defense (a good thing) but how that'll work with Drummond and Monroe is up in the air. All in all, it looks like a roster that wasn't thought through, just random signings IMO, random talented pieces. Ofcourse they don't have a strong coaching team either to make it work.

He isn't surrounded with a very good team. Not that it matters much.

It don't matter who he's surrounded with - a good player is a good player no matter who he plays with or where... these players are way too cuddled.
