02:55 PM ET 08.07 | The New York Knicks and Philadelphia 76ers are interested in signing former Los Angeles Lakers point guard Chris Duhon. Duhon was waived by the Lakers in June. A return to the New York Knicks would bring him back to the place where he averaged a career best 11.1 and 7.2 assists per game, during the 2008-09 season. Both teams have a hole at backup point guard and Duhon could be in store for something familiar to his 18 minutes per game he picked up for the Los Angeles Lakers last season. Duhon appeared in 46 games for the Lakers, shooting 38.2 percent from the floor.

If there's one player in this league that's had multiple chances to be something other than mediocre it's Chris Duhon. Why the hell will any team want him?
