Lightning star fueled by '10 snub

07:29 AM ET 08.13 | Martin St. Louis has won an awful lot in his hockey career, but Olympic gold has escaped him. Hot off his second Art Ross Trophy and first in nine seasons -- becoming both the oldest (37 at season's end) and shortest (5'8", exaggerates the roster page) scoring-race winner in NHL history -- the Tampa Bay Lightning star is attending Toronto's Smashfest, Dominic Moore's charity ping-pong challenge, in late July. And he's here to win. "He's a competitive guy," Moore, a former teammate of St. Louis', told Sportsnet before the tourney began. "He doesn't like to lose at pretty much anything." Which is why the Laval, Que., native was so fueled by a national snub four-and-a-half years ago and is determined to make up for it.

How many times will they recycle the same article? They can stop now. With all the talent to chose from, very likely he won't get a sniff this time either.

If Canada goes with youth he won't make the Olympic team in 2014.

Hope he won the ping pong tournament... I'd hate to think he would carry a loss along with a snub into the season.

Your "likely he won't" is a kindness. On that big ice speed speed and speed is what Canada and the USA need to prioritize.
