07:13 AM ET 08.14 | Torii Hunter didn't have to say much during a Tuesday radio interview before word spread about teammate Prince Fielder dealing with an off-the-field issue. But when Fielder was informed later in the day that Hunter's comments had become a big story back in Detroit, he wanted to put a quick end to it. "I'm going to turn the story off," Fielder said late Tuesday afternoon. "It's fine. Everything's fine." ... [Said Hunter:] "A lot of people don't know what's going on in his life. This guy is a strong guy. He's out there every day. He won't come out of the lineup, no matter what's going on off the field or on the field. He's a strong guy. Us as players, we know what's really going on and we appreciate him going out there every day."

There's no one more experienced in dealing with off field issues than A Fraud. Just don't go asking him for advice on how to deal with them.

If he snaps out of this and starts hitting, although .262 isn't bad, the Tigers will be even tougher in the playoffs than last year.

Fielder has been disappointing this year. But you have to believe that he can turn it on at any moment now. Or maybe it's just *that* year for him, and the off-field issues are really dragging him down.

He's depressed because he believed there'd be freshly made Cronuts available in Detroit by now.
