02:29 PM ET 08.14 | Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III has been adamant that he will return for the team's season-opener Sept. 9 on Monday Night Football against the Philadelphia Eagles - a team with plenty of quarterback questions of their own. While Griffin is confident that he will be able to play in the game, reports indicate that no official decision has been made about Griffin's status. It is still possible that Griffin could miss the first game of the season, so we will have to wait and see what decision the team ultimately makes.

Shanahan would play his mother on crutches if he thought he would get a W.

Even as a wide receiver?

Chip Kelly's defense is soft. (but hoping they prove me wrong)

RGIII would have nothing to worry about. Then again, I think Kirk Cousins could get the job done as well.

Geez I hope this does not turn into the equivalent of Derrick Rose and the Bulls.

Nothing to see here.

"Chip Kelly's defense is soft"?? It looks like RGIII is a little soft at this point of his career!!!

With the hangovers they'll be suffering, they'll wish they were dead.

All Day Peterson coming back from his injury has set the bar too high for athletes and their recovery time IMO. This type of injury heals at varying paces depending on the individual. RGIII is a heckuva talent though at the most important position on the field so i understand the need to have him on the field. I like Cousins though, I think he can do more than hold the reins til RG is fully healed. Why push it?
