07:04 AM ET 08.15 | With Nikola Pekovic wrapped up in Minnesota for five years, the Kevin Love Watch begins again. [When] Flip Saunders, Kahn's replacement, talked with reporters Wednesday about the Pekovic signing, he was asked about the potential that Love might feel neglected anew, what with the big man next to him -- who trails Love in All-Star selections, 2-0, and in Olympic gold, 1-0 -- getting a guarantee until the summer of 2018. "We talked about a lot of things," Saunders said of his recent conversations with Love. "What I've been impressed about Kevin Love, more than anything, Kevin wants to win. As we talked about Pek, he just said, 'You have to do what you have to do.' I think he really understands and he believes that I don't have a certain way I'm going to do things."

Shouldn't affect anything. Different regime, different ideas. Kahn was an idiot who should've never been hired to run a team. Flip...It remains to be seen but at least he has dribbled a basketball in his lifetime. Love can re-up for more money in two years when his option his up. If he likes the direction, it would make fiscal sense to re-up. If not, he can exercise his right to leave. The wolves can still make him happy contract wise and get Rubio signed to his second deal. A lot of ifs in there but that's how it goes for a team in the middle tiers of markets in the NBA.

Love is just a game, Bro.

No doubt about it.

This is a guy who'll score 23 to 25 points and pull down 13 to 14 rebounds a game for maybe the next 5 seasons (barring more injuries). He can score in the post, stretch the defense with the 3-ball and plays reasonable defense.

You can't just let this pull a Cleveland or Orlando and let this guy walk for (next to) nothing.....

They need to renegotiate his contract and pay him (& lock him up long term) now.....or trade him.....NOW!

There's a thin line between Love and hate, Bro.

numbers aside-he is not a #1 guy as we see because they haven't gotten even close to 500 with him.....

I think he is....or can be....a #1 guy.

The problem ain't with him; the problem is that he's never had a decent #2 guy.....or #3 guy.....to work with.

With the exception of a VERY unmotivate Al Jefferson in his first two seasons, Love hasn't had the benefit of playing a full season with a single 'starter quality' team mate in his 5 years with Wolves; unless you wanna throw Michael Beasley or Luke Ridenour into the discussion :faceinpalm:

they shouldve taken the Cavs offer- they will get so much less very soon for him.....the Cavs might be able to steal him for a bargain next summer

big three of Kyrie/Love/LeBron after the Cavs deal Waiters, Thompson and a couple #1's for Love?

LeBron/Kyrie/Love/Bennett/Bynum?
