Major setback for Falcons?

07:07 AM ET 08.16 | Like most teams, the Falcons would like to hit the regular season as healthy as possible. That plan may have taken a major setback. The starters turned in a crisp performance while jumping on the defending Super Bowl champion Baltimore Ravens, but wide receiver Roddy White suffered an ankle injury. He left the game in the first quarter and did not return Thursday night in front of a crowd of 70,527 at M&T Bank Stadium. White, a four-time Pro Bowl selection who has put up six consecutive 1,000-yard receiving seasons, has started 128 consecutive regular-season games. Now, the 129th start is in question. The Falcons' starting offense had its moments against the Ravens' starting defense, which is performing without retired star linebacker Ray Lewis.

They could go without him for a few games, if necessary. Plenty of other offensive weapons.

This Major Setback seems to try and make everyone's roster at this time of year.

Don't know about you... but I saw a much different offense out there with Steven Jackson in the Falcons backfield.

If he stays healthy, they could be scary good.

Always are during the regular season....

Then the playoffs come. Matty Ice has the same amount of playoff wins as Romo, yet which one gets the raves?

Only if getting outscored 20-7 in the first half is fine. The fact the Raven's 4th & 5th stringers out scored Atlanta in the 4th quarter won't mean much in the regular season.
