07:11 AM ET 08.16 | Sitting on career averages of 8.3 points, 3.1 rebounds and 21.5 minutes per game, free agent swingman Mickael Pietrus may have some options for his next basketball home. [Pietrus] has a workout scheduled with an undisclosed NBA team in September with two other NBA teams showing interest in working the French forward out, his agent Bill McCandless told CSNNW.com. McCandless says Pietrus is in France working out and is 100 percent healthy. "There are no issues with him and teams will see that when he comes in," McCandless said. "He [Pietrus] told me he's feeling great and he'll be ready when September comes around." Pietrus, 31, had right knee surgery a few years back that led some to believe he has lost a step in recent years. McCandless says that's not the case and Pietrus will prove it.

I've always liked this guy. He's a solid contributor.

True enough my friend but who among us is?

He'll be good on a contending team but there is a reason why he doesn't have a job yet.

Agreed, I don't understand why he can't stick somewhere.

How old are you? 31 is not old by anyone's standards.

QUOTE(#6):

Pietrus was a specialist. A guy who could hit the 3 when left alone and who could defend pretty well guys like LeBron. In fact, he got into LBJ's head a few years ago when he played for Orlando and they played the Cavs in the playoffs. (and beat us) At 31, his skills are in erosion mode.

LOL.

31 is hardly ancient.

Exactly. As a backup for 15-18mpg, he's a solid wing defender.

Hmm - undisclosed NBA team - sounds like a story made up by an agent to manufacture interest.

August 16, 2013  10:26 AM ET

I don't know wtf the Hawks are doing. The roster isn't even complete, they're not making ANY moves and they just asked their rookie center to stay back in Spain!!!!!

Pietrus can surely help spread the floor, get him!!!

I agree, Doc. With Orlando, he killed the Cavs in the playoffs with his scoring and always had the rep of being a good defender.
