07:21 PM ET 08.16 | The Seattle Seahawks acquired wide receiver Percy Harvin during the offseason in hopes of landing a top receiving threat that can take the team over the hump, but it was a hip injury and surgery that put his status for the season in serious jeopardy. There have been little updates about Harvin and a potential timetable for his return since he underwent the surgery and head coach Pete Carroll says it could be at least one more month until the Seahawks learn whether or not Harvin will be able to return for the end of the 2013-14 NFL season. On a positive note, the doctors seem optimistic.

There was a reason I knew I wouldn't miss him as much as I thought I would. This is why.

Indeed.

Harvin is a whole 'nother level of injury prone. He might be one of the NFL's five most physically gifted athletes but he seems to miss as many games as he plays.

that's the thing. yeah, he's good but what does that accomplish when he has serious trouble just staying on the field.

Exactly. Your team is the guys that show up on game day, all else is a theory.

And why any Seahawks fan with an ounce of a football brain knew to take acquiring him with a grain of salt.
