08:39 AM ET 08.17 | Determined to show his critics he's still at the top of his game and feeling stronger physically after electric shock treatment to his knees, Heat guard Dwyane Wade was the portrait of optimism on several fronts Friday: He said he has no reason to believe that any of the Big Three will sign elsewhere after next season, when he, LeBron James and Chris Bosh can exercise opt-out clauses. He said he has no intention of abandoning the attacking style that has been a hallmark of his game, an element that became far more difficult as he dealt with knee pain during this past season's playoffs. He said he does not believe the knees -- which were problematic the past two postseasons -- will be a lingering issue for the remainder of his career. And he feels no need to curtail his minutes with the hope that will keep him healthy for May and June.

The Heat suck..... even though they may be the best team in the NBA

August 17, 2013  10:42 AM ET

The fact is, Heat don't need Wade more than 24-28 mins until playoffs. Their younger players have shown promise and time for them to take up more playing time.
Allen, Wade, Haslem are only needed for playoffs.

Maybe but I don't think Wade is part of it. He is the face of Miami for many years and I think Riley will let him retire there.

he is a little delusional if he thinks his knees will magically be betterthey will always be a nagging issue and he is being stubborn if he doesn't realize that he can't just toss his body around anymore without consequence.MJ paced his attacking as he got older, kobe also.....its just a normal part of the aging process

I wonder if Wade needed an escort to the Jay Z concert like Lefake?
