09:13 AM ET 08.18 | Curtis Samuel garnered Division I scholarship offers from one coast to the other. There was, however, only one that mattered to Erasmus Hall's dynamic running back/wide receiver. The offer that came from Ohio State and head coach Urban Meyer. Not only did the Buckeyes extend an opportunity for Samuel to play football at the powerhouse program and get a free education, they also showed they really wanted the speedy 6-foot All-American by their dogged recruiting effort which included inviting him to their prestigious Friday Night Lights event a few weeks ago that went out to only their top targets.

Taking Your Talents To Ohio, Bro?

August 18, 2013  09:51 AM ET

Please tell me, he doesn't do the clubbin' scene, drink or do drugs. All the 5 star talent in the world, doesn't help if they are in and out of trouble all the time.

Sounds like some serious talent w/ SEC speed to boot.

GO BUCKS!!!

He's run a 4.36 40 and he plays a "Percy Harvin" role in his HS offense. Smart choice going with tOSU/Urban Meyer.

Something about those colors UFM is wearing...very disturbing.

Mornin' Papa! Any clue as to what Rod Smith did back in February to land a one-game suspension?

(Hmmm...instant fodder for the UFM critics)

Doc- see he has the look like he is going to take it from behind. Like guys do in prison. River1075 said thats the look of winning. Then I made the point about him and how his players get arrested. See the prison/ players he recruits are one in the same. Im being sarcastic about him recuriting men with high ethical and moral standing, cause they get arrested? Glad I could spell it out for you.
