09:28 AM ET 08.18 | Williston High School graduate Phil Jackson was in town this weekend for his 50th high school class reunion as well as to speak at the Banquet of Champions for the 13-year-old Babe Ruth World Series. On Friday afternoon, Jackson met with area media members to discuss a wide range of topics. During the press conference, Jackson made it clear he has no intentions of returning to coach. "I have no intention of coaching," he said. "I am still recovering from multiple surgeries." Jackson is currently experiencing back problems, which require him to use a walking cane.

We need him in the FO helping Jimmy boy on ball decisions. Mitch alone can't do enough to persuade the drunk son.

What am I missing here? How is this a Lakers thread? All I see is a picture of a former Lakers' coach. Is that where you're connecting the two?

I am a little bit proud of you though. Very little but proud none the less...

QUOTE(#15):

You're being ridiculous again, bro.Of course it's a Laker thread. Phil is an employee of the Lakers - even if he's not coaching.By the way - Phil's arrogance toward Jerry West now makes it impossible for the Lakers even to ask Jerry West to come back and help the franchise rebuild. They no longer have Dr.Buss to step in and mend that fence either.Take that with ya.

Mr. Clutch isn't going to do anything for the Warriors either. He went there because the pressure to win was to great for him and couldn't stand the thought of losing in the finals ever again. So, he went to Golden State where there are no expectations.

Now that he's old, he wants to spend his the rest. He'll be happy going home early every season until he retires or is no more...

I kind of thought he wasn't planning to coach again when I heard about his declining the Knicks offer a season in a half ago.
