07:02 AM ET 08.19 | For every Micah Hyde, there is a Johnathan Franklin -- mid- to late-round picks headed in different directions. Hyde has made a seamless transition to the pro game. ... On the other hand, Franklin's game, based on the off-season and first three weeks of training camp, hasn't fit as well in the NFL. Franklin, 5 feet 10 inches and 205 pounds, can't get out of neutral. He rushed seven times for 17 yards in the intrasquad scrimmage and nine for 23 in the first two games. It's just 16 carries, but Franklin's average of 2.5 yards is about on par with the way he has practiced, too. ... He has encountered some ball-security issues in practice and hasn't done anything returning in games. The scouts said he ran hard from scrimmage in college, but that hasn't been evident in the pros.

WHO???

I think they have the rookie RB Darcy out of Alabama... I would be more focussed on his work, instead of these unheard of guys.

Green Bay drafted 2 RB's in 2013:
2nd round #61 Eddie Lacy from Alabama
4th round #125 Jonathan Franklin from UCLA

They are different types of RB, Lacy is like a bowling ball, Franklin is a shifty running back.

Dear writer: Teams do not cut fourth round pics their first year. Period..GM's frown upon that, it makes them look like they made a mistake....He made the roster the day they drafted him..

Practice squad is the worst that will happen.

A 30lb bowling ball...

Eddie Lacy is looking pretty good in preseason. I caught the Rams v. Packers game and Lacy used that spin move a few times and made some decent yards on some plays.

Plus, he may very well get it together, eventually

Interesting choice of picture, interns

The kid might have a short shelf life if his legs go, but in the meantime he damn sure gives the Packers a little something they didn't have before.

If ya can pick up the blitz you can play RB in GB, and because everyone defends the pass first against them you can look good on paper running too.

We had a Darby a few years ago, but he wasn't as good as Lacy.

Ok now I see how this works. The interns read a story from a newspaper or news site and then paste the story with THEIR OWN title. I live here in Wisconsin and while the Journal/Sentinel has this story (actually it's a quote from inside the article), there's no story with this title. In fact it's ridiculous that the interns would say he's running himself out of a job because he's not going anywhere. Yes he's off to a slow start, but there's no way he's not going to make the team. The interns are really going off the deep end on this one. Franklin will be fine eventually. Not the starter, but he's on firm ground here in Green Bay.

You just catch on?

It's what they do...
