07:18 AM ET 08.19 | With Alex Rodriguez's return, the drama has come with it. Brian Cashman held court for nearly half an hour on Sunday afternoon, providing a lengthy outline of the Yankees' position in their feud with [Rodriguez]. Cashman defended his organization's medical staff, once again challenged Rodriguez to file a grievance -- a process the Yankees expect to occur -- and explained why he has limited his conversations with Rodriguez to "hello" and "goodbye." Cashman said he does not trust Rodriguez to tell the truth, and does not want their discussions to be "distorted." ... "I'm not comfortable talking to Alex on this stuff because I feel like we're in a litigious environment," Cashman said. "So I'm not comfortable anymore talking to him about it."

Who starts tonight?

The circus has moved from the Meadowlands. Rex must be breathing a sigh of relief for the time being.

Pay the man, Yanks. You paid him to play and you can pay him to go away.

Thank God we found the source of of all PED use in baseball. Once A-Rod is gone the game will be clean and the few and random players that used PEDs the last 20 years will fade into history. Not to mention amphetamine use in the 60's and 70's, that was overblown.

Sad to see MLB held hostage by this self centered P.O.S.

You forgot the cocaine in the 80's, Trooper...

As far as Mr. Cashman... he is correct. This is headed to court and the less he says, the better.

Because ARod is doing everything he can to make it really easy for the Yankees to walk into a courtroom and make a libel charge stick.

A-Rod and his band of misfit attorneys are trying to throw as much stuff at the wall in the hopes that something sticks.

Call it Arod's revenge. He's going to make the Yankees miserable. He's also playing pretty good baseball these days.

Sorry but that was that was chickensh**t. And ARod got the last word in with a 440 foot homer.

And now - it shows up that he had paid for Bosch's lawyer, then tried to send more money......? Really, can anyone be that, uninformed........ As per discussions yesterday. I am beginning to think that Selig WANTS this to get into civil court. That way - ALL the evidence can come to light (instead of it being leaked because of the CBA). And Selig will let the court of public opinion bury Afraud O'Roid. Wouldn't be surprised if the arbitrator now upholds the punishment - JUST to get it to court..... collusion - maybe, but this self anointed jack wagon will make it easy for MLB. Even if he wins in court...... he'll lose everything else (accept the money).....

Agreed. I liked the early pitch making him dance...... (it was behind him) - but plunking him - was uncalled for..... Maybe this is the players way of telling him - he better start wearing armor at the plate......
