07:26 AM ET 08.19 | Rick Nash, a 6-foot-4, 219-pound world-class talent who has scored at least 30 goals in seven of his 11 seasons, and 21 in a lockout-shortened 2013, didn't much help the Rangers in his first playoff season on Broadway -- which is where former Columbus coach Scott Arniel comes in. [Arniel] will be Alain Vigneault's right-hand man on Broadway. ... [Arniel's] former charges include [Nash], Derrick Brassard, Derek Dorsett, John Moore, and Anton Stralman. Among the coaching staff's top priorities is to get Nash to reengage himself as one of the top puck-lugging shooters in the NHL. Nash was a ghost against the Bruins in the second round of last season's playoffs. Former coach John Tortorella believed Nash was out of shape. He probably accused Nash of much worse behind closed doors.

It would be a good idea as the NY media will rip him a new one if stands around like he was out of gas again this season.
