Do the Dolphins have an NFL running back?

07:12 AM ET 08.21 | At least one job remains wide open in Miami. The Dolphins have not decided on a starting running back for their regular-season opener in less than three weeks, and anyone doubting that merely has to monitor what the team is doing as well as saying. Ask coach Joe Philbin if the starting job is open, and he interrupts the query before it reaches the question mark. "Absolutely," Philbin said Tuesday. ... And in this important practice leading up to this important exhibition game, running backs Lamar Miller and Daniel Thomas shared first-team snaps in 11-on-11 drills. ... The longer the Dolphins go without picking a starting running back, the more it suggests neither Thomas nor Miller are ready to separate from the other or, worse, ready to be an NFL starter.

All these kinds of questions about the Dolphins, yet some people actually picked them to win the division??? CRAZY!!!!

I doesn't matter who the starter is, they're both going to play. Who's the last RB in the NFL that played all 16 games?

August 21, 2013  07:59 AM ET

Probably Emmitt Smith.

Is the writer suggesting they might go through the season running all plays from an empty backfield set?

@#5,
My crystal ball says NO.

In retrospect, maybe they should have held onto Reggie Bush.

I was wondering why they seemed so pleased to let him go, Bishop.

It's a virus latched on in here.

If that is the case the tech group here is not equipped to handle it. It may be a while until things get back to 'normal'.

Do they even know how badly this shitty site is performing? Really, guys and gals and gooks and geeks, this is beyond bad.

Look, we can't quote and we can't get to pages beyond 1. When we try to post, we get a whole screen full of HTML, and it we refresh that we get a double post. This started yesterday. I tried it both on IE and on Firefox, same problems.

OK, now I'm going to report myself for abuse, so maybe this will get to some one.

August 21, 2013  09:32 AM ET

Well, we can't report abuse, either.

Or Terrell Owens, or Randy Moss, or Tim Tebow, or (insert any other name that this place can't stop posting stories about every other minute of the day)

Why in the hell doesn't Fan Nation just fess up and admit they screwed up and put "under construction no comments can be added at this time" banner.. instead of the annoying ad that I have to click off every time I come to the site. Same ad, some thing over and over and over.. I am not liking this.
