Stoops' gutsy call invites drama

07:27 AM ET 08.23 | Not since Sam Bradford won the job in 2007 has Oklahoma had a quarterback competition like this on its hands, which means congratulations are in order for redshirt freshman Trevor Knight. This was a gutsy call. Naming Blake Bell the starter would've been the safe choice for [Bob Stoops], Josh Heupel and anyone else involved in this decision. Bell is the quarterback everyone expected to be the starter. ... Their decision is bound to make for a tough few days. Bell will be disappointed, maybe even devastated -- no one can blame him for that -- and there will likely be some hurt feelings from his buddies in the locker room, too. The Sooners rarely have such drama because Stoops usually goes with the veterans.

Good move for Stoops. The Belldozer needs to come in at the goal line.

Is this site fixed yet?

Take an educated guess...based on your time here.

"Is this site fixed yet?"

I'll assume no. Ya'll get another site scoped out yet?

"It won't last long, good call Guido."
Thx, 0-6
my guys were telling me that Bell was very Tebowesque. Couldn't hit anything with even a slightly tight window.

Guido, why don't you buy FN off CNN/SI's hands, and actually DO SOMETHING with it?

Off topic, but our RB for the 2008 season, Glen Coffee quit the NFL after 1 season and went into Airborne training. Seems like he is about to graduate and become an Airborne Ranger.

Yes

QUOTE(#9):

Fingers crossed this doesn't become the latest QB Mack turned away that goes on to kick his butt. This kid would have jumped on an offer and Texas picked Brewer.

They say he tore up the OU Defense while on the Scout Team last year.

Of course there were more than a few that tore up OU D last year.

::sigh::

Good for him.

A miss by Sea Bass, that's rare!

Who is this "everyone"? Looking at the players I called this 2 months ago-Bell is not really a QB.

Gutsy?
