Raiders QB competition is back open

12:44 PM ET 08.24 | It had looked like Matt Flynn was pulling away with the Oakland Raiders starting job, but the momentum started to shift on Friday night when the team took the field for their third preseason game against the Chicago Bears. During the game, Terrelle Pryor was able to outplay Flynn and show some real flashes of brilliance. It also helps that Flynn looked pitiful during his reps. As a result, head coach Dennis Allen has stated that the starting quarterback competition is still wide open. Pryor was 7-of-9 for 93 yards and a touchdown. He also showed off his legs and tacked on a 25-yard touchdown run to his statline. It is going to be interesting to see if he can come away with the job.

Agreed. The speculation about who they will take with the #1 overall pick next year in the draft will be an exciting national conversation.

Well, yeah, since both teams played 1st string for the first half. It was enough fuel to dog Mondo with.

They had better start Pryor cause at least he has legs, with that O line that looks like a giant piece of Swiss cheese Flynn won't make it two games.

I beg to differ. After watching the Jets tonight, I'm positive they've sent all their scouts text messages to find a college QB who doesn't buttfumble or run out of their own end zone.

To be fair, Geno did try to get rid of the ball in time.

Still, after watching Smith and Sanchez, Rex should put his house on the market now.

Well that's something at least, yes i'm guessing you are exactly right that it's exit stage left for Rex. Man it is gonna be a long year for that offense.
