08:58 AM ET 08.25 | The Seattle Mariners, in the midst of a fourth consecutive losing season, are remaining mum on the future of general manager Jack Zduriencik. Zduriencik has one winning season in five years as the Seattle GM, and his job security was the subject of multiple news reports this week. Mariners club president Chuck Armstrong told Ryan Divish of the Tacoma News Tribune that Zduriencik signed a contract extension through 2014 at last year's winter meetings. The deal wasn't announced at the time and became public only recently through Divish's reporting. However, neither Armstrong nor team chairman Howard Lincoln has said publicly that Zduriencik will return for a sixth season as GM.

After 5 seasons of losing baseball and trying desperately to win by bringing in over the hill players and not trying to build through your organization it is time for you to go Mr. GM.

Good point!!! It's time for Zduriencikto go!!! Why do you think the A's always finish ahead of the Mariners in the AL West??

About a month ago the team went on a minor winning streak. At that point, JZ and Eric Wedge were touted as saviors by the Seattle media. Now the team is right back at 10 games below 500, and everyone wants to get rid of them.

"Mariners mum on future of GM JAck Zduriencik".

He should have been gone 2 years ago. Mariners needs are greater than a GM at this point. When we can no longer trade for players because of our inability to win games and not wanting to be a part of the 2nd rebuilding in his term, it is past due.
