Barkevious Mingo's injury still big deal to Browns

09:17 AM ET 08.25 | Yes, Barkevious Mingo's absence with a bruised lung is a big deal. The Browns won't say that because what are they supposed to do about it? He's not going to play for a while. Could be weeks, could be more than that. Bruised lungs are not a common injury, and it's impossible to make a reasonable guess about his return. But this much is certain -- the coaches loved how he was playing. He was not going to start at outside linebacker. Coordinator Ray Horton has Paul Kruger and Jabaal Sheard for those jobs. Mingo's speed and pursuit of the quarterback are exactly what the new defense is about.

An injury to your 1st round draft pick is always a big deal cause 1st rounders should start or at least contribute right away.

The Browns should have drafted smarter with all those picks 2 years ago. Now they're relying on a rookie to save their defense. smh

You think so, I think so, but WTF... He gets 2 head coaching jobs, an ESPN do nothing for a big paycheck job, then a consultancy with San Fran - a likely repeat super bowl contender.

WTF does the 'gina have on everybody?

Anyone else getting ticked off at this site for forcing us to stop their **** videos every time we change the page? When did they start with the auto-forced video crap?
