02:35 PM ET 08.26 | As one of the best quarterback prospects in the past few decades, one would assume that Indianapolis Colts signal-caller Andrew Luck would have quite the ego. In fact, it's the exact opposite. Luck is one of the more down-to-earth players in the league, continually deferring praise to fellow teammates much like he did Reggie Wayne, whom he anointed as the leader of the Indianapolis Colts. It was Wayne who recently came out and suggested that he was the vice president to Luck's president, but that's not something Luck says is true. Luck points to Wayne as the real leader of the team.

Decent thing to say. Besides, he'll have plenty of time to take that mantle once Wayne retires.

I agree. This isn't a story. What Luck says isn't "a nice thing to say". It's the truth.

Luck's a smart guy, a real smart guy. Leading by deferring to a great competitor and teammate brings the team together and earns respect. Smart guy.

Well he did go to Stanford. Stanford alumnus are usually pretty smart, arrogant jerks at times, but still smart.

Hey, you know what isn't smart, though?

Sweeping generalizations.

P.S. The phrase is "smart aleck", with a 'k'.

I'm guessing this reply came from a Stanford alum. By the way Alec is a name, ever heard of Alec Guiness?
