07:15 AM ET 08.27 | Free agent forward Ronnie Brewer said hello to Houston late Monday afternoon, and the next steps for him are to take his physical and officially sign with the Rockets. Brewer, who is heading into his eighth NBA season, agreed to a two-year contract. He said he is not concerned with the fact that his Rockets deal is partially guaranteed. "I wasn't worried too much about it," Brewer said. ... He said he considered re-signing with the Thunder. Brewer said he also considered returning to the Chicago Bulls, where he played for two years, or rejoining the Utah Jazz where he was drafted in the first round out of Arkansas in 2006. The L.A. Lakers were also on his radar, but Brewer thought the Rockets would be the best fit for him. "They play my style," Brewer said.

Chicago actually plays more "his style". Meaning more suited as a defensive player.

From a defensive perspective.....definately!

But Houston's offensive style is very loose and unstructured. He'd be getting his touches while flashing to the rim.....this will suit Brewer well; better than most other team's offensive styles where he'd mostly be catching the ball flat-footed on the perimeter.

Furthermore.....Houston's '1' thru '3' players aren't exactly known for their defense. This will make Brewer a bit more valuble to Houston than he'd be for most other teams.
