07:29 AM ET 08.27 | Reporters covering the Aggies at this stage will have to get creative. Tuesday's scheduled media availability at Texas A&M was sure to be another wild skirmish to see who would ask coach Kevin Sumlin about Johnny Manziel's situation first. Monday afternoon, in a press release, Athletic Director Eric Hyman cleared the air that not only would Manziel not be in attendance but that Sumlin, his staff and the players would not be answering questions regarding Manziel's off the field situation. ... On Monday A&M released it's depth chart entering Saturday's game with the Rice Owls. The depth chart lists Manziel as the starting quarterback as does Hyman's statement, leaving little room for doubt that Manziel will start the Aggies season opener.

Do what Cam and Auburn did while under investigation. Just win with your Fambly. (Misspelling intentional)

Sumlin will be going to the NFL next year so he'll be long gone before any penalties come down

I was thinking ... do what Clowney and South Carolina did ... conduct a 3 hour investigation and release a statement saying there is nothing more to find.

Can't the depth chart change at the last second? Do they really think they were going to list anyone but JM this far in advance? I know he will play regardless but the fact that they are saying his presence on the depth chart is concert evidence that he will play is stupid.

ESPN has certainly made it a higher priority to go after Manziel than Clowney.

No, putting the noobs in their place. UF and LSU did it on the field, REC and ESPN doing it off the field.

Nice try, but I think Manziel has pretty much done it to himself.

If there are penalties to come down in regard to Manziel and his signing autographs, this will not be a school, or coach problem unless the Gestapo determines the school/coach hid evidence.

Playing an ineligible player vacates any game. NCAA retroactively vacates games.

I completely agree. If someone with half a brain was trying to bring Manziel down they would have real evidence and it would have been passed to the NCAA already through a 3rd party.

Footage of the money transfer.

Why wouldn't it be "a school or coach problem"???? USC and Ohio State problems were a with "a school, or coach problem"!!! In USC's case it was "lack of institutional control"!!

When you talk about a "3rd party", are you referring to a person like Lloyd Lake, in the Reggie Bush case???
