Pietrangelo 'not even' thinking holdout

07:31 AM ET 08.27 | Business as usual? Alex Pietrangelo is doing his best not to let an unresolved contract situation distract him this week at Hockey Canada's orientation camp. "I've just kind of been moving forward as if I'm going to start the season like a regular year," the St. Louis Blues defenceman [said]. ... But as training camps grow closer the possibility of a hold out becomes greater. If Pietrangelo were to miss part of the season it could hurt his chances of making the Olympic team. "I'm not even thinking about holding out," the 23-year-old said. "I'm thinking about training camp and being there September 11th, 12th, whenever we're going to start up and be ready for the first game of the season." So does that mean Pietrangelo is confident a deal will get done soon? "I think you got to be."

Pietrangelo for Kadri?

I can dream.

I was going to say something pithy about Kadri and his contract demands but then I realized he's doing the exact same thing as Leafs management. After one mediocre 1/2 season they're raising prices on "premium games". Ya just can't blame the kid for toeing the company line.

Obviously he has learned from the masters.

That is pretty amazing to me. I saw where they included Buffalo as a "premium" game. Buffalo? I guess the Leafs and the Sabres were pretty equal level for a while, but still. Are they going to give fans a discount when the Hurricanes come to town?

It's nice to see MLSE still has a sense of humour.

Gotta wonder about the League standing by and allowing/promoting two-tier pricing - not to mention, all three levels of government, and their assorted (c)Ommisions. Weren't they supposedly dropping the price of the cheap seats? Or was that just Blather-Skyting, for the bio-mass-consumers.

Actually, it's a tactical move designed to keep Western NY'ers out of Toronto. Quite clever if you ask me.

sheeesh and all along I thought Buffalo and Rochester were neighborhoods within Toronto

The truth of the matter is that Canada is a suburb of the United States.

You don't consider Detroit, Secaucus, Newark, East St. Louis.etc. etc. vacation spots? Chernobyl looks good in comparison. In Chernobyl you don't need flashlights since everybody glows in the dark!

Alex has a nice assists record, means he's not selfish. Kadri, has had only a half season, wouldn't want to give up on him yet the few games I saw him play.
