Mike Wallace working to improve run blocking

04:55 PM ET 08.27 | The Miami Dolphins spent a lot of money on wide receiver Mike Wallace during free agency, but he is hoping that he will be able to bring much more to the team than just a speedy receiver that can stretch the field and he is off to a good start. Surprisingly, it has been Wallace's blocking that has stood out during the preseason tape. A Wallace block helped spring Lamar Miller to the end zone on a nine-yard run, while paving the way for another 20-yarder. Wallace said that he has been working to get better as a run-blocker and he has to be pleased with the film he has seen so far.

I think Wallace will have a huge season this year....but all the money he got implies he will be an intermediate target as well as a deep target. I'm curious to see if he lives up to this expectation.

If he didn't learn to run-block for the Steelers, he can't learn.

If Miami can teach him another trick, blocking, good for them, they should teach him how to catch the ball....

Aren't the Dolphins paying this guy millions of dollars to catch a football and run with it? Getting in the way of a defender so he can't tackle your RB is one thing, teaching him to get in the dirt and eat some cleats is something entirely different. Do they really want to get him injured this way? Typical Dolphins.....haven't been worth a s*** since the mid eighties.
