07:16 AM ET 08.28 | While the Celtics roster churned, Avery Bradley remained, but for how much longer? If [a contract extension] is not reached, he becomes a restricted free agent next summer. There are many things that Bradley is thinking about heading into this season, but his contract status apparently isn't one of them. "I really don't focus on that," Bradley said. ... Two-a-day (and sometimes three-a-day) workouts this summer in addition to more weightlifting and a modified diet, has resulted in Bradley adding significant bulk to his frame. "My body, I feel a lot stronger," said Bradley who now weighs 196 pounds which is the most he has ever weighed. "Sometimes when I'm walking down the streets of Boston, people say, 'Man you look a lot bigger.'"

Test him for HGH...along with a certain injured player for LAL

For a PG or SG, adding bulk should not be a priority. Gaining bulk are for the big men. He should concentrate more on his shooting and his overall game.

Funny that you would want injured players from other teams to be tested for HGH.

I think the NBA should make the Hawks use the stuff. Maybe then they would become relevant in the league. Or change their name to 'City of Hope Hawks'

Ordinarily I'd agree with you.....but not on this count.

Consider that many of the PG's in the league that are 6'2" or 6'3' weigh in at 200 to 210 LBs. Bradley weighed 180 (or so) LBs last season. Now, he's weighing in at 195 (or so) LBs. When it's all said and done, he's still a bit small for a PG.

NOW consider *THIS*.....Avery Bradly is not a point guard; he's more of a combo-guard who actually plays most of his minutes at the SG. Even with the added bulk, he still gives up 3 to 5 inches and 15 to 20 LBs to most of the shooting guards in the league.

Bottom line......Bradley needed to get both, bigger and stronger. And as long as it doesn't comprimise his speed/quickness, 15 LBs of added muscle is a good thing.

BTW......he is 22 years old now; so him adding weight at this point is part of his natural maturation process, anyway.
