02:35 PM ET 08.28 | The Washington Redskins have one of the league's best rushing attacks. Rookie Alfred Morris rushed for 1,613 yards last season and rookie quarterback Robert Griffin III added 815 yards on the ground. The Redskins had big hopes for Roy Helu Jr., last season before he was injured and missed the majority of the season. The Redskins are keeping him around in hopes that he can bolster their already dominate running game. That leaves Keiland Williams, Evan Royster and rookie Chris Thompson competing for either one or two roster spots.

One thing Mike Shanahan has never been short on is talented running backs!

Unfortunately, he often has too many good RB's and they all get pissed cause none ever get in the rhythm of the game.

With RGIII that makes 3 good RBs for the Redskins.

I would think the hope is that he doesn't have to run as much as he did last season.

Helu is a good change of pace from Morris.

Hail to the Redskins!

He better not if they want to make it to the playoffs.

Helu is a good runner.

Through painful experience (for his RB's), Shanahan has learned that the ground game he runs is a meat grinder for RB's and he WILL need to have several of them. He always had 1000 yard runners in Denver, but often it was a different one from year to year. Even Terrell Davis only lasted a handful of years as punishing as he was. Only Clinton Portis had any extended success which was ironic because he was the smallest RB of the bunch!
