07:18 AM ET 08.29 | For Caron Butler, this may be a case of one happy return. [Butler] has periodically dreamed about some day playing for the Milwaukee Bucks. That's certainly understandable, considering Butler was born and raised in Racine and followed the fortunes of the Bucks ever since he was a child. Now, 33 years old and having played 11 years in the National Basketball Association, Butler's dream may finally come true. According to multiple sources, the Bucks and Phoenix Suns are seriously engaged in trade negotiations that would bring Butler to the Bucks. Although exact details of the potential trade aren't known, Butler, the former Park High School standout, would be the central figure in the deal that could be culminated as soon as [Thursday].

Inconsequential trade between two totally irrelevant teams.

Trades are made for multiple reasons so I hope it works out for Butler and both teams. This will be interesting!

Butler for Larry Sanders...lol

Not sure who's involved but this can only be a good thing for Butler. He might only be a shell of the outstanding player the grace the floor while playing with some of the best young talent back when he, Larry Hughes, A. Jamison, & Agent Zero were reeking havoc on the league. Since his knee injury in Dallas he's been slow but still the Professional. Hope things work out for him with the Bucks. If nothing else he will bring some stability & class to a very young team.

Well stated and couldn't agree more...

No details on what is being traded in return, but it's the Bucks. So I'm going to assume it will be a lopsided trade in favor of the other team.

It's Good To Be Wanted, Bro

It was Butler for a young player and a draft pick.
All in all the bucks needed a small forward, and Butler is an expiring contract so no risk.
He is pretty consistent on offense, provided he remains healthy the bucks can be a decent team once again.
Still not better than a healthy pistons,wizards,cavs,raptors...

Good way to finish out a long career by going home

Sea turtles often travel back to there place of birth before they die....Not saying Caron is going to die, but he is probably close to calling it a day. Man miss the times when he and Gilbert were tearing it up in Washington.

Don't forget the HOF Jamison.

No doubt Jamison was like Antonio Mcdyess 2.0 . injuries....SMH

not sure why they are working 'hard', its not like he's going to help them win many more games

If I was the Bucks, winning a few extra games this coming season sounds like a BAD idea.

As for "periodically thinking of a return", I seriously doubt this is one of those periods.

They are no less relevant than the Sixers, Cavs and Pistons.

This will make them a 7 seed like USN predicted?

BUTLER is a gamer...

Showed a lot of heart and energy this past season...

But seemed a little lost in the post season...

The Pacers, Nets and Heat are the only relevant teams in the East.

Caron is too much of a spectator at times. He has his moments for highlight reels, but those aren't very many...
