07:13 AM ET 08.30 | Considering how things first looked, Seth Olsen's walking into the Vikings locker room after Thursday night's Minnesota win had to be encouraging. He took off his uniform and headed to the shower, chatting with teammates on the way. The only thing he couldn't do -- because of the NFL's concussion protocol -- was discuss a scary 10-minute span of the second quarter when he was strapped to a board, placed on a stretcher and removed from the field. The 27-year-old reserve guard hit his head on a Titans player's knee while blocking, and had his neck snap back. Olsen did not move for a few minutes as the training staff and paramedics rushed to his aid. "That was a scary moment, it looks like he's OK, thank God," said McLeod Bethel-Thompson, who quarterbacked the Vikings to the victory.

I'm glad he took off his uniform and headed to the shower after leaving the field. That's an encouraging sign.

Seriously, good news.

How did he take off his uniform without removing the board?

I was at the game, it was a scary moment, for a while no one knew what was goin on, I've never seen a trainer call for the board that fast, good to hear he is alright, also have never heard the dome that quiet, was a bit creepy. Overall good new though.

A knee to the head is never a good thing in any sport.

Open field. Full view from whom he was trying to block. Not a crack back. 100% legal. 100% accidental.
