07:15 AM ET 08.30 | Heading into the weekend, a good number of NFL hopefuls, some former regulars, will be looking for work. With a 64 percent completion percentage, touchdown pass, 102.8 passer rating and 58 percent success on third-down conversions, Jordan Palmer did enough to claim the third quarterback spot [Bears coach Marc Trestman] has said he favors. The question is, can the Bears be comfortable cutting Palmer and knowing he'll probably stay available while they sort out the rest of their roster and possibly be brought back in a few weeks? I would guess J'Marcus Webb is done as a Bear, while Tony Fiammetta gets to hang around. Finally, there is Fendi Onobun. Targeted seven times, he had four catches for 45 yards, one drop and one bobble that turned into a pick-six for the Browns.

I hear that word a lot. Tomorrow is bubble bath day.

Perhaps we'll get a Hot Clicks with that theme?

Last cut day is like a swap meet. Should be on NFL Network, like draft day. Put all 500+ guys in a stadium and have a rep from each team just start calling names out. Team booths or something....I'd watch it..

They could do it outside in a big field, like a county fair, with the on-the-bubble players doing stuff like tug of war and log pulls. Spear-chuckin'. Gospel music from the Tebow Tent. The same ticket gets you into the Big Top for the Ryan Circus.

J'Marcus looks like he is getting ready to steal second base.

That would be a cool idea! I think you're on to something. I'd watch that in a heartbeat.

It would be must watch stuff. Kind of like gym class picking teams except the last 400 do not get picked..Cruel for sure, but reality TV to the next level. You get kicked off the NFL Island and all you get is a bus ticket and a " Thank you for your participation" certificate signed by Roger Goodell.

Being "Mr. Insiginicant" in this would be a whole lot worse than the draft...

I really liked what Jordan Palmer showed last night. He looks and plays like a QB. I'd be more than comfortable having him as a backup or even a starter if Cutler decides to be Cutler again.

Now .... if only Trestman could get his WR to wipe the K-Y Jelly off their hands and gloves so they could hold on to the football ....

If the Bears cut Palmer the Bills could pick him up to be their week 1 starter.....

I thought about that. Maybe he gets a limo ride to the bus station.

J'Marcus never stood a chance once the rookies started playing well.

Later Webb. You won't be missed. Cutler will be upright a little bit more without you.

So I guess it's back to the practice squad for the previous #3?
