01:21 PM ET 08.30 | Matt Leinart's tenure with the Buffalo Bills didn't last more than a week. According to the former first-round pick, the Bills released him on Friday morning in advance of the Saturday afternoon deadline to cut team rosters down to 53. Leinart was with the team for just five days and played in the preseason finale against the Lions before the team pulled the trigger, which likely means rookie E.J. Manuel will soon be able to retake the field. Also being released by the Bills was cornerback Crezdon Butler and offensive tackle Zebrie Sanders.
